HDMI output as its own workspace

The monitor gets its own layout at its own resolution, not the 7-inch screen scaled up.

Core video coming

No video of this feature yet. The pictures below are stills from our scope. It will be filmed on our own scopes, working end to end, soon.

What it does

Big screen draws the monitor its own picture, up to 1920 x 1200: the plot at the monitor's pixels, with the measurement statistics, the math and the decoder's event table beside it in tiles. The scope's own screen keeps its picture, and its knobs, keys and touch work both screens. On our MHO934 both screens keep up at about 37 pictures a second.

HDMI only puts the picture on the monitor alone; unplugging the monitor gives the screen back at once.

How to use it

  1. System > HDMI output > Big screen, or HDMI only.
  2. Over SCPI: :NOVAos:HDMI:ONLY ON.

On Rigol's firmware

DHO800: standard · DHO900: standard · MHO900: standard.

Where it stands

Built on both families and measured on our MHO934. Filming both screens through the HDMI capture is next.
