NovaOS on the MHO900 vs the SDS800X HD

NovaOS, our own operating system, runs on both: here are the Rigol MHO900 and the Siglent SDS800X HD as NovaOS sees them, on the units we own, an MHO934 and an SDS814X HD.

These are NovaOS's figures, on our own units, with our own software. Every figure here is NovaOS running on the units we own, dated, and shown only when both were measured the same way within a day of this page's build (2026-10-17). NovaOS is in active development: these figures, and how much of each scope's hardware NovaOS uses, will change as we keep optimising it and find how to get the most out of the hardware. They are not a verdict on any maker's hardware, or on its own firmware. NovaOS is independent software, not made or endorsed by Rigol or Siglent.

CH1The hardware NovaOS runs on

The unit NovaOS runs on in each family, from NovaOS's own hardware table: the limits NovaOS works to on that model, with no software option tier in between. The last rows are where NovaOS stands on each.

CH2NovaOS's feature coverage

Each family's own user guide, checked feature by feature against NovaOS on that family. The guides differ, so the totals are not one list; each column counts its own maker's.

CH3Measured the same way on both

Not yet measured. Nothing has been measured the same way on both within a day of this page's build (2026-10-17), so this page compares no figures yet; it shows them as soon as both are.

What NovaOS has measured on each, with dates, methods and raw data: NovaOS vs stock on the MHO900 (2 figures from the last day) and NovaOS vs stock on the SDS800X HD (7 figures from the last day).
