More bandwidth limits: the bands between 20 MHz and the scope's own

Where it stands

  1. DoneMeasure the front end's own filter

The analog front end's band filter is programmable, and every setting of it was measured on an MHO934 and a DHO924S, channel by channel and on both MHO input paths: from the scopes' own generators and from the inputs' own noise. Six bands come out within 10 % of their label on every channel: 10, 25, 50, 100, 125 and 150 MHz. The filter's lowest setting sits near 4.5 MHz, so 1 MHz cannot be an analog limit.

  2. NextOffer every band the hardware really makes

10, 25, 50, 100, 125 and 150 MHz join the channel's bandwidth-limit list wherever they are below the scope's own bandwidth, on screen and over SCPI (:CHANnel<n>:BWLimit 10M ... 150M), with the channel's zero level calibrated for each. An analog limit also cleans what the trigger sees.

  3. Next200 MHz

Checked with a swept source and a fast-edge pulse generator before it is offered.

  4. NextFilm it on the real scope

The bands chosen by touch on an MHO900, with the noise and edges changing on screen as each limit is picked.

What sdouble asked for

Bandwidth limits at 1, 10, 20, 50, 100, 200 and 500 MHz on each channel, on an MHO954.

wide range of bandwidth limits beyond the usual 20 and 200 MHz. Suggested : 1 ; 10 ; 20 ; 50 ; 100 ; 200 ; 500 MHz
