The video is NovaOS's screen on its built-in test signal, recorded from the same code that runs on the scope, the keys pressed as on the panel.

How it works

Trigger key

On NovaOS's screen each press of the panel's Trigger key switches the trigger's sweep, Auto to Normal and Normal to Auto, and says which one is on. A SINGLE under way runs on in the new sweep. The TRIGGER card shows the sweep, and a tap on it switches it too.

Quick key

The Quick key does what you choose for it, and Sweep is one of the choices: on the Storage sheet's Quick key row, or Utility > Quick on the Rigol-style screen. Each press then switches Auto and Normal, the same as the Trigger key. The choice is kept across power cycles. Over SCPI: :QUICk:OPERation SWE.

Quick bar

The quick bar along the top of the screen takes the buttons you choose, and Sweep is one: add it from the bar's editor (press and hold a button of the bar) and a tap on it switches Auto and Normal.

Where it stands

  1. DoneThe Trigger key

Each press switches the sweep between Auto and Normal on NovaOS's screen, on the DHO800/900 and the MHO900.

  2. DoneThe Quick key set to Sweep

Sweep is one of the Quick key's choices on both of NovaOS's screens, and over SCPI; each press switches Auto and Normal.

  3. NextOn the scopes

It reaches the scopes with the next release.

What we need from you

What mapkpo asked for

A button of your own that switches the trigger's sweep to Normal, and back to Auto; Auto and Normal switched with one press, not through the touch menu each time; on their DHO804.

i would love to see implemented a custom button to change the trigger mode to normal
its so dumb having to press the touch menu every time i want to change form normal to auto and vice versa.

Try it and tell us what to change: reply on NovaOS's thread on the EEVblog forum.
