System > Power-on logo (beside Self check) shows the logo the scope starts with and a preview of the screen as it will look. Pick NovaOS's logo, or Your picture: a PNG or BMP at the top of a USB stick or of the internal disk C:, scaled to fit the 1024 x 600 screen. Use this logo asks first, then writes it in a few seconds while the scope keeps running. SCPI sets it too: :NOVAos:SYSTem:LOGO RIGOL|NOVAOS|FILE,"D:/logo.png".
The bootloader stays Rigol's, so Rigol's firmware is still one switch away and the scope stays recoverable; only its logo changes. Your picture goes into free space beside Rigol's logo, and the switch to it is a single sector, so a power cut at any moment leaves a scope that starts. NovaOS keeps Rigol's logo, and Rigol picks it again: the logo part of the scope is then byte for byte what it was. Rigol's firmware shows your picture too when it starts; a Rigol firmware update may bring Rigol's logo back.
The power-on logo on the System sheet and over SCPI, tested on copies of the DHO924S's and the MHO934's own logo partitions, including a power cut at every step of a change.
Set by touch on our MHO934 and seen at power-on, in NovaOS and in Rigol's own firmware; Rigol's logo put back byte for byte, then NovaOS's logo set.
The Rigol logo at power-on replaced by one of your own.
Is it possible you can release a version that replaces the Rigol bootloader and logo?
