UART / RS232 decode

Stock's UART decoder, made readable: every bit field in its own colour, and long packets decoded from the whole record.

What it does

Zoomed in, each character is drawn as its parts: the start bit, the data bits with the value centred under them, the parity bit and the stop bits, each in its own colour, with a failed check kept red. Zoomed out, each character is the box it was.

When the scope stops, the decoder reads the acquisition's whole record, not the screen trace, and decodes it once: on our DHO924S all 900 characters of an 80 ms record at 115200 b/s, back to back; zooming and scrolling then only redraw them.

On Rigol's firmware

DHO800: standard · DHO900: standard · MHO900: standard.

Where it stands

The whole-record decode is checked on our DHO924S and MHO934; the bit colours are filmed on our MHO934 and reach the scopes with the next release.
